Experiencing Wildlife

The Cradle Coast offers some truly magical Tasmanian wildlife experiences. It's not uncommon that you might come across an echidna wandering across the road, or a wombat playing next to your parked car. Everywhere you turn you'll discover the delights of intricate fungi, delicate insects, furry creatures and the precious places they inhabit. Keep your camera handy, you'll want to snap pictures of some of those special moments.

Nearby Narawntapu National Park is a favourite destination for visitors who want to see our most endearing animals in their native habitat, and as you venture around our region you'll likely to be able to tick off seeing every animal that you planned to meet! We also have fabulous places where you can have wildlife experiences up close, which are great for families and anyone who wants to see our endemic Tasmanian Devil.
