Devonport Food and Wine Festival is a month-long celebration of north west Tasmania’s rich food and beverage philosophy with multiple events held during the month of October each year. The Festival encompasses a variety of delights from cooking classes, through to wine tastings and everything in between.

Whether you are looking for cutting edge video installations or a show by the hottest world music troupe, there is something for all arts and culture connoisseurs. Cherry Blossom Festival

A celebration of our Cherry Blossoms, Japanese inspired displays; Bonsai, Ikebana, traditional tea ceremonies and Aikido martial arts. Other food and beverage stalls plus our volunteer run tea room and home made burgers. Bring a picnic and choose a spot by one of the three lakes.

Annsleigh Gardens Open Day

The Ship That Never Was – 25th Anniversary Performance

Australia’s longest running play is turning 25! On 5th January 2019, ‘The Ship That Never Was’ will be performing it’s 25th anniversary performance at the Strahan Primary School, where it began it’s long run on Tasmania’s west coast. Written and directed by Tasmanian playwright, Richard Davey, the play tells the story of 10 convict shipwrights, from the Macquarie Harbour Penal Settlement on Sarah Island, who stole the last ship built at the settlement and made their escape to Chile.
