Tarkine and Coast
This one hour scenic flight encompasses much of the best coastline and wilderness Tasmania has to offer. Departing from Stanley, fly over the North West of Tasmania and experience the breathtaking coastlines and island views. The tour circles Cape Grim Monitoring Station, Woolnorth Farms, The Wind Farm, and Cape Grim Beef. Your pilot will give you an aerial introduction to the early settlement of this unique part of Van Diemen's Land, and the largest single dairy operation in Australia. The rugged coastline surrounding this area will provide you with amazing photo opportunities and a true appreciation for the power of nature when seeing the scale of the wind farm and the rolling swell that has carved this area. From here you will head south past the rugged western coastline, Mt Cameron, Sandy Cape, eventually reaching Arthur River. Fly up the mouth of the Arthur River taking in Tasmanian tall timber and the beauty of the northern Tarkine. and even witness some of the recent fire destruction that devastated this wilderness area. You will then return direct to their Stanley heli base.
Departing from Stanley, fly over the North West of Tasmania and experience the breathtaking coastlines and island views. On a sunny day you could be mistaken for thinking you are in the tropics, this presents you with some remarkable photo opportunities. Passing the inner islands of the North West coast you may be able to catch site of the Wagyu cattle that call Walker Island home as well as spot the three humps off in the distance on Three Hummock Island. Three Hummock Island Transfer
Your exclusive helicopter transfer will depart from the seaside village of Stanley and present you with stunning views of the Northwest coastline. Taking you further towards your island destination your pilot will point out features in the stunning scenery including the lush farmlands of the region and rock formations that fringe the coastal islands. Your helicopter will set down on Three Hummock Island within the homestead grounds where you will soon be met by your hosts, John and Bev (and most likely, a few Cape Baron Geese!).
