Plan

One of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches in Australia, Boat Harbour is known for its white sands, rocky headlands and crystal clear water.

The area has two small communities – the town, located up the hill between two headlands and Boat Harbour Beach, offering a spectacular first impression as you make your way down the winding road.

The beach is by far the major attraction with rock pools to explore, family-friendly waves and sunrise or sunset beach walks to clear the mind and take in the breathtaking views. Boat Harbour to Shelter Point is a short 800m walk perfect for spotting dolphins or seals as they enter the cove.

For the adventurous, the beach offers a variety of watersports; paddle boarding, jet ski riding, kayaking, snorkeling, diving and deep sea fishing. Afterwards, grab a bite to eat at the local surf club and experience a true beach community.

Tucked in around Boat Harbour and nearby Sisters Beach is Rocky Cape National Park. Featuring mysterious sea caves, rock pools, wildflowers and bushwalks to Aboriginal caves in rugged cliffs, the area is best discovered on foot. Choose from short easy strolls or longer day walks into the less-travelled parts of this park.
